Anna Kournikova May Play In Doubles Exhibition Match During 2010 U.S. Open at N.Y.C.

Hi, everybody! Though not confirmed yet in her Upcoming Events link here in her official website, our Anna reportedly will participate in a doubles exhibition match during the U.S. Tennis Open at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing Meadows, New York City, on Thursday Night, September 9, 2010. Men's quarterfinals are scheduled to be played that day, and evening during the upcoming 2010U.S. Tennis Open.

Martina Hingis will join Anna again in the doubles exhibition match, and be paired with Pat Cash and Mats Wilander. Apparently the success of Anna and Martina's participation at Wimbledon probably lead to this event, to help contribute to the increased fan enhancement initiated by the United States Tennis Association for this years US Open.

Anna's double exhibition match, just like at Wimbledon, could also be available to see online live on http://www.usopen.org/ .

Pat Cash mentioned this match when he interviewed Anna and Martina at Wimbledon for his CNN show. Great to see that it is going ahead. However the way it is mentioned in the USTA site seems to imply thet Anna and Martina will play Pat and Mats - surely it will be mixed doubles!!

Hi, everybody. Unfortunately Pat Cash and Mats Wilander just defeated our Anna and Martina Hingis 7 games to 5 in 49 minuites of total match time. Match started at 11:25PM and ended the next morning at 12:12AM, Eastern Time on Friday. Hopefully Anna and Martina can win next at Kuala Lampur!
