St. Louis Cardinals Win 2011 MLB Baseball World Series!

Hi, everybody! St. Louis (Missouri, USA) Cardinals just won the 2011 Major League Baseball World Series Championship by defeating the Texas Rangers 6-2 in Game 7, and win their 11th World Series Chanpionship overall.

Our Anna has threw the first pitch for both teams at their ballparks. At Americquest Field at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington back in 1994, and most recently where Anna visited at Busch Stadium prior to her evening match while she was with the St. Louis Aces of World Team Team Tennis back on July 11, 2010. Anna even met Field Manager Tona LaRussa, and several players inside the team clubhouse, prior entering the playing field before the Cardinals played the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Texas Rangers very nearly won the 2011 World Series in Game 6, with two out, and two strikes in the bottom of the ninth inning leading 7-5 in before David Freese hit a two-run triple to tie the game at 7-7, and winning in the bottom of the 11th with a game-winning home run 10-9, forcing the Game 7.

Congratulations to the 2011 St. Louis Cardinals, behind as much as 10 games behind on August 24, and qualified as a wild card team!
